Debuting on the WB network in 2000, this hip and touching comedy/drama follows thirtysomething single mother Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and teenage daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel), closely-knit and strong-willed "girls" who treat each other more as sisters than as parent and child, in the small Connecticut town of Stars Hollow.
